Im not sure, but pretty sure that most of the early F1 type cars such as a supersquallo had bodies produced by Scaglietti. More to do with their close proximity to the factory I would guess. Then again it may be hard to pin on one coachbuilder since these bodies were each unique and very few done. I know I have read about early F1 complete chassis being wheeled over to Scaglietti to have the bodies done. |

Ferrari used many coachbuilders: Touring Bertone Ghia Vignale Farina Pininfarina Fantuzzi Cigario Scaglietti for his sports cars. Am not sure about GP cars. |

My wife asked me last night if pinninfarina built the race car bodies as well. Im refering to an open wheel dino powered type of car. Say a supersquallo. I couldnt answer and she said, see, you dont know everything. I said, Everything except that honey. Anyone know? |
