This sounds very familiar, I clearly remember someone else posting here that had the same problem. But who it was? Try the keyword search to the left, I'm quite sure Robert that a solution was found (I think it had something to do with the connection at the coils or elsewhere in the ignition system) |

This sees to be a reoccuring problem with the 328 tach. One of my customers has the same problem with the tach reading slow. Maybe someone can get theirs fixed and find the common weak link and report back. |

It has not totally gone out. It only registers 1/2 to 1/3 of the actural RPMs and this will vary. I had the local Ferrari dealer look at it and the told me that it was the tach head itself that was bad. They said that they would look for one for me, but this was three months ago and I have just given up on them. It is a shame, as I had bought the car from them. I suppose this is another case of poor dealer backup service. |

check the wiring and fuses first, it seems unusual for a tach to up and quit. there are 4 screws holding the dash in- behind the 4 indicator lamps- if it is the same as the 308. |

Unfortunately, my tach on the 328 has gone out and I am forced to either have it repaired or buy another one. First, how difficult is it to remove and second, any ideas as to buying a second one or having it repaired and where should I go for repair or purchase. I really don't relish the idea of even trying to get myself under the dash to attempt to get to it now, but you have to do what you have to do. Thanks |
