No Dan, It is a switch in the wipermotor that triggers the on off of the motor depending on the call for current from the switch. Unless your car has a electronic memory pack for the wiper it should have that.

Magoo, I tried to jiggle the lever on the steering column, is this what you mean? I wonder if it is a ground associated with the automatic seatbelts. I noticed at the time this was happening the seatbelts stopped working and the dummy lights illuminated.

Since the problem occured, I have driven the car several times and the problem is gone. However I know it will happen again, it's a Ferrari!

Maybe the wiper parking cycle is to sensitive and jiggles off when hittting a bump etc.

I do not know how the 348 fuse box panel connectors are designed, but on the TR, loose connectors can cause symptons like the one you had.

I was driving my 348 tonight when the windshield wipers turned on all by themselves. They made one sweep until 10 minutes later and did the same thing. This happened 10-15 times over the coarse of 2 hours. I tried to duplicate it by jiggling the switch or turning them on then off. I could not get it to duplicate. They will just make one sweep across the windshield every 10 or 15 minutes. Has this occurred to anyone else? I know the wiring is shitty in these cars but I don't know where to start. Is the relay going bad? Any help is greatly appreciated.
