My gearshift lever used to rattle in 2nd. I solved it by buying a new SS exhaust system. Maybe it still rattles but I can't hear it any more.

Bruce, the shifter alignment is generally a function of two areas. Number one is the condition of the rubber bushing where the shift shaft coming out of the car connects to the shaft going into the transmission. This rubber bushing is very prone to degredation. Before any other adjustments are performed, replace this bushing.

Secondly, inside the gearbox, the position of several levers and forks determine how well the shift lever ends up in relation to the metal gate. This adjustment is somewhat complicated, but it can be tackled by a part time mechanic. You have to really visualize how the transmission shift mechanism works, and how that affects the lever position.

But, I'll bet a small wager that just replacing the rubber bushing will solve your problems.

Hilarious Ted, everything goes in circles, about a year ago a bunch of listers came on here complaining about the flame wars there. Umm, has anyone ever been to a board were people didn't fight? Has anyone been in a large organization that didn't have fights? We have 2,000 diverse people with a limitation of one dimensional communication and humans naturally get in fights. Such BS when I hear people complain and think they're above it. I'm not even above it, I'm flaming right now!

I decided to remove the DL#, but it's not what Matt posted. I don't know Johnny's problem, but he's annoying.

I've been watching FC recently. Used to frequent it 1-2 years ago quite alot.
I forgot my last password, thus I just re-subscribed with a new one just to make this statement..

Anyway, just like anything else, like frequenting a bar, eventually you meet a jerk (JRV for example) that nobody wants there, but they're there anyway.

Someone's always to blame for sparking it, in this case, it's JRV.

I think I'll head over to the FerrariList instead.
see ya, and not looking back.

JRV, you started this one, I don't care if you and Matt have a history or not. Matt posted a response and are you going to slam him every time he does. Ok, we all know what you think about Matt and Matt thinks of you. Now drop it! I'll create a thread for y'all to have your fun in "Threads of Shame and Fame". Please don't hijack every thread Matt posts too and I expect the same from Matt. Thanks Please.

Hey Stu, You think it's fun being attacked by trolls? Really do you?

Have some jack*ss post your drivers lic # on the internet and see how much fun you can have buddy.

I'm more sick of it than words can express, and I'm doing something about it.

BTW: why didn't you answer the guys question ? I asked matt nicely to give a real answer, why didn't you take the hint and give him some tips?

geeez - you two little 3rd graders - take it somewhere else, PLEASE!!!

Bruce posts a valid concern about his car and you two have to turn it into a schoolyard (elementary school, I might add) fight that takes away completly from the original purpose of this site - to learn about Ferraris!

I, for one, am tired of it. If I'm in the minority, then I guess I'll find another place to chat about F cars.

Am I the only one who is sick of the JRV / Matt bulls*it????

Hey matty, You'd be amazed at how many lawyers own Ferrari's ... (heck..I have 3 lawyer customers that owe me money at this very moment in fact) they did ask why I would bother to help Ferrari owners out for free if Internet Trolls were causing this type of problem, live and learn I guess......a question matty...you're not judgement proof are ya?...well anyway...it seems showing 'malicious intent' (and that'll sure be easy )makes these types of deals pretty much a slam dunk.

Geee....if I was you I'd say a little prayer before I went nighty nite that you haven't caused me any type of harm by posting my personel info on the internet. You know..even though you changed it, no telling if some con-artist saw it and is makin trouble as I write this. Of course criminals don't have address's so it falls back on the ones that created the problem in the first place.....just a simple matter of tracking them down.

Have a good one sport.

Five foot two,
Wit nuthin to do,
Wishin his light shined brighter..

Last in line,
When brains were handed about,
Missed the line completely,
When long limbs were issued out.

Nobody wants him,
Like a roach I was told,
His one and only fan,
Is only 10 years old.

Compulsive manic obsessive paranoid,
Only to name a few,
Loco in the head,
And he hasnt a clue.

Looking for buds,
In a room of chat,
Even there,
They avoid the scrawny little rat.

Wacking, jacking, cracking,
Around his little store,
Lookin for stuff to do,
Cuz deres no one at da door.

Big mouth.
Little oscar meyer,
Likes to dig in deep,
His last girlfriend was a sheep.

Poor little five foot three in shoes,
nee-pole-ee-on,
What is he to do,
Only being five foot two.

you have a doctor's license now ?

You posting my Dr Lic # on the internet sport? Now what happens if an identity thief comes along and I have to point the authorities to you as the guy who created the problem in the first place and maybe were the one that stole the identity???

Let me guess, you are trying to intimidate me by publishing my personel data on the internet. Hmmmm...I'll bet there are steps I can take to cure you of this bad habit! And protect others from being victimized by you in the future.

You want to meet at the Denny's where your buddy without an address meets his customers and talk about this?

Dr Watson,

It's detailed in the new issue of Forza. No need to rewrite the book.

My 81 308 has an irratating BUZZ eminating from the shift rod. This only happens when its in 3rd and 5th gears. Of course, grabbing the gear shift knob quiets the BUZZ, but otherwise, it BUZZES along constantly when I am in those gears. Thoughts?
