BBS over the last 15 years has reduced the number of spokes, moving away from the "waffle" look. One of their best designs IMO is the 360 Challenge wheel. Might be worth a call. I know from experience that top brass at BBS love Ferrari's as much as anyone, so the latest BBS designs tend to receive Ferrari fitments. Again, I think one must speak to the Motorsport guys, not the road-car application sales guys. |

Why not do the conversion to the hubs for a standard Ferrari 5 bolt? |

Yes Rexrcr your right on target....there is a set of BBS wheels from a single-lug F40 on ebay, but no picture of them. I imagine the wheel design is like most other BBS types with a trillion spokes kind of a pattern. Although good for racing...I'm not crazy about the looks. The guy gave me the model number for them, it is 0216011 whatever that means. I really like the 5-spoke F355 style of wheel the best, I wonder if any special machining/mods could be done to make a set of those work on my TR? |

BBS will make wheels for any application. The wheel you saw may be a motorsport three piece, magnesium centers. Call their motorsport division. 770-967-9574. They won't be cheap. I've used them on F40's and other race cars, much lighter than OEM. |

Good question, I cant think of any other brand of car in northamerica (late model) with center nuts from the factory. I know some wheels are available aftermarket for your TR but choices are very limited because of the nut. |

I'm still searching for a reasonable deal on aftermarket wheels for my center-lug '87 Testarossa. Whenever I hear about or see a set of aftermarket wheels on a TR I always try to find out more info. but it is difficult. Example: A set of BBS wheels for a TR is for sale, but when I check their site, there isn't even a option in their menu for Ferrari...let alone a TR? Are there any other non-Ferrari cars made in the TR era that used center-lug type of wheels? |
