With such poor quality, makes you wonder why people keep these, other than for the name. I bought both the jack kit and the tool kit off of separate eBay auctions, primarily to complete an 87 Mondial. Going rate is around $300 each. I also bought the emergency light for around $50. Keep looking and good luck!

I do have both the factory tool & jack kits, along with the F* trouble light with the little funky plug.

However, for real emergencies, long with a pair of nitrile gloves, and a roll each of paper towel, duct & electrical tape, I also carry a Sears 'Companion 101 pc. Automotive Tool Set'. You might want to take a look at it. It's got just about any tool you'd be likely to need for a road emergency:
http://www.sears.com/sr/product/summary/productsummary.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1590934708.1040682006@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccehadchdhhjjeecehgcemgdffmdflg.0&vertical=SEARS&bidsite=&pid=00930385000

& for $49.00 you just can't beat it. The tools are of reasonable quality. Much better than the Chinese stuff you get from Harbor Freight. They just don't have the replacement warranty.

I thought I was pretty well set up for any reasonable emergency until I read Ken's post. Seems I've got to add a bottle of Laphroaig...

Hmm, probably should add a small assortment of electrical crimp connectors.

If you want to just acquire the OEM tool kit for completeness, the best thing to do is watch eBAY during early fall thru late winter. That seems to be when a most people are NOT looking for F* accessories. You can find some 'deals'. I saw a tool kit that only had the roll & all the wrenches go for $150 last Sep. Another time the pliers went for $55 or so. Haven't seen the screwdrivers, but suspect Paul is right, they can be found.

BTW, I happen to think the pliers are really the only worthwhile tool in the F* kit. The wrenches will do in an emergency, & my bet is the screwdrivers disintegrate at the least pretext.

We Lotus owners actually use our tools on occasion at roadside. If you think you may also, I'd advise you to forget the India tools and put together your own tool kit of stuff you can actually use. My toolkit is unlike the one Lotus supplied; it includes duct tape, a good flashlight, a cell phone and a bottle of scotch for use when waiting for the flatbed.

If you just want tools, I would make up my own set. Any brand would be better quality.
If you want an original set, you may have to pay as much as 400. for a mint or NOS set.

on my 78 gts that has a complete tool set...none of the tools have a ferrari name or logo...the emergency light does have a prancing horse...the pliers were made by Everest too...Everest's current catalog has an open end wrench set (model 29) that is very close to the originals and a pliers that looks identical...they no longer produce the model 22 line which was supplied with the ferrari.

They are a bunch of crappy tools, I used the Ferrari screwdriver fom my kit and the tip chipped up easily, ooops!

You could get a better one at Harbor Freight which are still cheap crap but they don't say Ferrari on them , I guess they are there to look at not use, maybe in a pinch you could use them but you would wreck them, the Ferrari pliers are out of production also, a little better but still cheap, nice Ferrari screening on them

that's a crazy amount of money for a bunch of crappy tools made in India....in my opinion...match the brown vinyl, have a local shoemaker or upholstery shop make the bag (my original is pretty crude in workmanship)...go to a tool distributor and find some cheap Indian tools (Orange handled screw drivers etc..you may even find the Everest brand which was the supplier in India)...the more difficult items like the emergency light and fuse and bulb holder will have to be sourced..you could put this together for under $200 I am sure...

Jeez, just checked on Ebay and, as a reference, they are listing a jack kit (I know you're looking for a tool kit) with a starting bid of $1,450 and a 'Buy It Now' price of $2,250!
Again, Check with our site sponsors for the tool kit.

Steve, if 328 tool kits are any indication, I've seen them listed for anywhere from $250 up through $1,000!
Check with our site sponsors; I think that Ferraribooks lists them.
They do come up quite frequently on Ebay (both new and used)

It seems that most of the 308's had been sold over time and the tool kit has dissapeared. I got the 308 back in 2001 and the tool kit was missing. It did come with the jack bag and extra belts but no tools. So does anyone know where I can get one , how much is the cost and is there an aftermarket kit? Just looking now.
