I'm just going to change the bad one for now. I had to get it from TRutlands at about $20 each. This is just a quickie so I can get to the track on the 4th. That will also give me time to source out some at a better price!!;-) BTW, FoH wanted $56 each!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the info guys!! Dave |

Dave, I have the NGK EVX's in my car, but I think any of the NGK plugs would be fine, even the standard copper core ones, if they are available. I hope you intend to replace ALL of your extenders...it would seem prudent it one went out, that another one (or two) could fail as well in the near future.... When I checked mine, they had essentially no resistance (87 328 GTS) FWIW.

I bought by extenders thru GT Car Parts for a lot less than what the dealers wanted. My understanding is the 328 uses the resistor extenders. GT Car Parts can tell you which one you need. |

Well my very intermittant cold-start missfire on the 328 became a constant, stuttering dead cylinder last night on my way to a Christmas party. Turns out one of my plug extenders (#1)cyl has a pinhole burned through it. PHEWWW!!! Simple fix. But that brings me to two questions,1.Are these available aftermarket?or dealer only. I read the archives about the extenders with and without resistors and I'll bring home my meter tomorrow to check out the others.2. While I'm in there I'll change my plugs as well. What plugs are you 328 guys running? I have Bosch Platinum +4's in the Bimmer's and the Honda and they seem to perform quite well, so I'm a little partial to Bosch. However I see in the archives that the Iridium NGK's have their following as well. Anybody run +4's? Thank's Y'all Dave |
