I have seen "wrinkle" powder coat that not only looks great it wears like no paint I have ever seen. It can be a little pricey but IMHO well worth the investment. Might want to look to the smaller nonFerrari shops to have it done ...save some $$.

I plan on repainting the airbox on my '85 308. It looks like a PO did some painting before and I'm not sure what type of black to use--flat, satin, semi-gloss, or wrinkle finish. Can someone tell me what the original finish is?
