I would be careful with making absolutely sure that the threads are correct, or you will mess up the mounting....probably best to stick with the factory filter in this case. If you want to save a few bucks, check with the usual sources like T.Rutland's, George Evans, PartsSource, Ferrari Parts Exchange, Sodacom, and buy several at a time to save on shipping... |

If it has the same size thread and rubber gasket as the Testarossa, you're SOL. In that case, the only alternative is to have a machinist make a take-off plate to spin onto the filter mount and route oil hoses to a remote filter head (like a dual-filter set-up from Mr. Gasket, or one of the other hot-rod companies). They almost all mount Ford type oil filters, which will also accept the Baldwin B25_ series of filters! (B253 for upright positions, B252 for convential positions). |

Is there an interchange for the UFI 23-310-00 oil filter used on the '94 512TR with a domestic brand oil filter such as Purolator or Fram, or should I just take my old filter down to Discount Auto Parts and try to match one up??? |
