Thanks for the input. Decided to make a cross member out of 100x50x4 - welded two pads on either end to get the centre of it away from the gearbox casing. There are also 2 1/2" bolts protruding out about 3/4 inch that fit into the sub frame of the car. Length is 840mm and the pitch of the hole spacing for the bolts are 740mm Cheers Paul |

Reinforced area behind front wheels about at the crack of your doors. Rear on juction of subassembly to chassis on the subassembly rails. Reinforced part of floor closes to lip on inside of front tires (weak area but best area when using 4 point pick-up, i.e. fits most lifts best here). Don't jack under your seats you will go through metal, don't jack behind your seats there is a gastank here. |

If you are jacking the rear... I jack mine from the subframe using a long wooden block in between the frame and the jack - the subframe located between the transmission and the clutch housing. If you are jacking the front... I jack from the subframe using a long wooden block between the frame and the jack - the subframe located under the bumper between the front wheels and the front spoiler. |

Hi all Where is the best place to jack up a 348 with a trolley jack? And are there any do & donts? (Apart from the obvious!!) Thanks once again Paul
