Jeff, Dave's got it right. Jeff, " You DA MAN!". Thanks for the info. I am totally electronic impared. I can't read a circuit diagram but I can plug in my drop light to work on the mechanicals...that's it. Good job Jeff. |

Billybob: I'll take a stab at this, I love a challenge! The Flasher is one of the two relays (the left one) that you describe as "at left knee level". It's marked ITALAMEC 12V 42/46W(x2) DOT299 73352, with three prongs, the Ferrari part number is 159265. It's shown in the Shop Manual on page L27 as item #86, or in the Parts Book Tav 145, item #45. I would think that a heavy duty generic flasher with three prongs would work. The relay to the right of the flasher is identified as "acoustic signal with electromagnetic switch for brakes warning light control", Tav 145, item #46. The two 4101 relays on the passenger side of the trunk fuse/relay box are shown in the Parts Book Tav 145, item #52, qty. 2, but they are only identified as "electromagnetic switch for USA/Canada". The Ferrari part number confirms that they are 4101 relays. With a little experimentation, I find that one operates the Left low beam headlight, the other operates the Right low beam headlight. If they (the relays) are unplugged, the headlight doors will open but the low beams don't come on. Plug in the relays, the low beams operate normally. I can't find anything in the manuals to help with a diagram of the circuits, but that's what the relays do!! Does this help? Jeff B. |

Does anyone know where the "flasher for direction indicator and hazard lights" is hidden? What does it look like? There are 2 4101 relays on the passenger side of the front under bonnet fuse box. What do these relays go to? There are 2 relays at left knee level of the driver just under the carpet screwed to the firewall in this area. What are these relays? Any clue out there?
