Go to your local jobber and take a sample for the hose that u want to replace. Gates green stripe hose is the same type of hose that ferrari uses and is far cheaper than 26 bucks for an 8 inch hose.

I certainly seem to be setting a personal record for postings today...

Quick question: (will be calling TRutlands in AM hoping they're in)in the coming year I'll be flushing the cooling system and several of the shorter pipe-to-radiator connecting hoses need replacement. Going rate is about $26/ea...think I need 4 or so. Prior to spending this on hose segments, is there any reason to go with factory parts? More durability? Or is there a "generic" black hose (size?) I can/should use instead?

Thanks once again,

:-) Carl
