Thanks for info, thought as much, must have knocked it off when cleaning engine with pressure wash!! never again............. |

Yes there should be a 'breather vent' not just an open hole. Should look like a small tube with a floating 'hat' on it. |

On my 1993 512TR, looking at the transmission unit from the rear, there is a hole in the casing on the left hand side, close to the drop down gear case, it could be some sort of breather? if so should it have a 'chimney' on it,sorry can't be more precise!, if you put a wire probe down, it touches oil......... |
