How do you remove the 360 paddles?

Matt...Not yet, and Ferrari are currently refusing to pick up any of the tab (out of warranty)....I'm looking at a $4500 repair bill at the moment.....My brake pads have lasted longer than my clutch (5500 miles).....I've had the car at my UK dealer on 3 seperate occasions relating to clutch/F1 issues. I'm not going to let this drop, as it is obvious the vehicle has had a problem that was clearly identified by me during the warranty period.
I intend to contact FNA tommorrow.....
As for Autogallery, I'm still thoroughly impressed with Alan and his first rate help.
I'll let you know what happens

Lou
I had the same problem in my 360 Coupe.....I was really annoyed about it, as I don't wear any rings etc....so there was no reason why the coating should come off....I took pictures of the problem, and my dealer forwarded them to Ferrari (I spoke with a company that specialises in this type of rubberising...they told me that the coating was incorrectly applied, which resulted in premature peeling)....Ferrari goodwilled a new set of paddles, and I haven't had a problem since.

The fix for the older 355's has been to strip the rubber/plastic paint via chemicals and/or sand paper (400 wet/dry to finish) and then re-paint. Believe it or not, Rustolium Satin Black works great and looks factory...it's tough too. Same restoration applies to all the interior plastic switches and panels that are covered with the same goo. This factory coating, besides being fragile, after time and sun, seems to break down and turn to gum/goo.

Here you go:
Stealth Composites out of Philadelphia. 215.919.7584, ask for John Dice the owner.
Email [email protected]
The set I've seen take the challenge style one step further. Gear changes can be accomplished from 1-5 o'clock, and 7-11 o'clock positions of the steering wheel.
As these parts are hand made, I think custom sizes are possible.

Joseph, are the CF paddles exact replicas of the factory paddles, or are they the challenge style that are larger? Please post or email your source, I would be very interested in a set. I have been looking for aluminum of stainless steel replacement paddles, but have been unable to find any.

You can eliminate the problem altogether by getting carbon fiber paddles.
I have a source if you're interested.

At 10000 miles on my 360 Spider, the paint is badly chipping off the F1 paddles. Am I unique? Is there an improved design or do I get the same paddles replaced to chip again?
