Mike, I have always disconnected mine via the top switch that is on the door panel on the rear of the left front fender. Take out the two screws that hold the black panel and be careful not to pull too far, as there are two push switches that are attached to this. I believe the top one is the one you want. It is easy to tell, just have the key in the switch and open the door and the buzzer will go off and then push in the top switch and it should stop. Anyway, the wires are tight so ease the panel rearward where you can see behind it and there should be two wires going to the switch. I would advise you to put a longer piece of wire or string on the pin before you pull it off so that if it goes back into the hole you can always pull it back out. Just take some electrical tape, or equal, and put it around the wire end that you are removing and that will do it. I usually pull the wire, or string, that is attached to the hot wire (the one so that you cannot lose it) and attach it to the switch or whatever, so you can find it later. Good Luck TTFN Robert |

The noise is indeed anoying!! I don't know the 328, but on the 355 there is a black module ( aboue 1 2/2" X 3" x 3/4" thick, held by a 6mm nut on a stud) under the steering column. It must do more than just make noise because ther are 5 or 6 pins on it. My solution is to pry the box open ( after removal) and snip the speaker wire (sounds like a vasectamy sp??). Have done this on several cars without any negative consequence. And my nerves are the better for it. Mike |

Ric I disconnected mine at the seat belt lock on the right under the drivers seat.Just pulled the plug and the buzzer stopped but the dash light still works and stays on for about 10 seconds. In fact I use this light to wait for the fuel pump to load the carbs before I pump and start. Worked for me. |

The device itself can be disconnected. It's under the dash on the driver's side, down below and to the left of the steering wheel. |

I've been through the archives. Does anyone know of a quick way of eliminating the seatbelt / key buzzer alarm that sounds when the door is open (or seatbelts not on) with the ignition key in the accessory position? There's a fuse, but that fuse also controls the clock and horn (and something else kind of important, as I recall). There's got to be a way. It literally is driving me to insanity. Any idea where it's located? I'd try to trace it but being that close to it really makes me crazy (under the dash). TIA, --Mike
