Steve -- You need the fuel to circulate in the supply lines faster than a carb might use it to prevent/minimize overheating/boiling of the fuel and fuel lines (and the rotary vane 308 pump is better suited to continuous flow). If you plumbed the 4 carbs in parallel from the supply, this would require 4 parallel return lines -- one for each carb (plus some sort of supply and return manifolding) so it's just more clutter/joints/lines than the efficient stock series set-up. The fuel vapor recovery system is independent of the fuel supply system. |

Could not find cloth braided lines for mine. Yes, you need to vent the last carb into the tank. I have my vapor system plugged up, but the fourth carbs go into the tank with the line. |

I need to replace my fuel lines on the carbs. Has anyone replumbed these using braided line and alum. fittings? If so how did you reroute the lines? Do you need to run in series so that the 4th carb return goes into the fuel tank? Do you need the return line if you don't have the vapor system hooked up? |
