I use a car cover to keep the interior cool (black leather). It takes less than a minute to cover and even less to uncover. Although my car is a targa it would work just as well with a convertable. It would also keep unwanted eyes from looking for valubles and bird poop from landing where it is not wanted.

I have a triple black (body, top, interior) Alfa spyder and as long as I tilt the seat forward when I get out it's not a big deal, even in Miami.

The mondial gets hot as hell, at least you can drop the top (if you are not sitting in traffic) and get some reilief.. the big problem I have is I can't touch the leather steering wheel if it has been in the sun...I got one of those very tacky cardboard sun-shades to put in the windshield and it helps a lot..the tonneau cover from the factory is laughable the way it is designed and you can't lock it and could esily get stolen. I love my T Cab and I agree it is a great car but you have to be patient with it and love it ...the top surely has been designed by the same guy who designed the electrics. these cars are very very cheap and if you are willing to put up with them...represent great value.

I have a dark blue interior. I wouldn't make hot seats the reason for passing on a convertible. You will want to leave the top down about 95% of the time on this car. The interior will actually be cooler than a coupe after sitting in the sun. Fold the front seats forward and the back seats down when you park the car in direct sunlight. I have a factory tonneau cover that I use as well. They are hard to find and have a kooky design, but it protects the interior very effectively. If you want a four passenger convertible, the Mondial is the king of the road.

Good point David, In other words pull the back of the seat forward so it shades the entire sitting area.

Try placing a towel over the seat(s) when leaving it out in the sun, or place the seat back all the way forward so that the back and top of the seat get the brunt of the sun. Just some suggestions. My black leather in my 348 gets pretty hot but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Good luck

Forget the leather color. You can always put something on your seats when you are not in the car, a blanket etc.. I would do that in any event if you stay of the car for a whiole. The leather is not great in connection with the sun. Needs treatment every month to keep it smooth.

Make sure oyu are buying a clean car, that is super important or your worries will not be the buring butt but the burning wallet!

They do get hot if you leave it out in the sun, but I'm glad I have a black interior. If the top is up while you are away from the car when you get in the seats are hot but not unbearable. But if you leave the top off in the sun for a few minutes, you're in for it.

i'm about to buy a mondiale T CAB WITH BLACK LEATHER AT A GOOD PRICE but I've been told that the seats become unbearably hot with the top down; if you have such a car let me know if I'm making a mistake!!!!!!!
