This was sent from alan, if anyone is interested... The reason I started this project is that I personally think the rear end of the 348 is awful, having said that I love my spider its a great car. As you can see from the photo's the rear panel is not far off completion, this will be available in fibreglass or carbon fibre. For the job to be right you have to use 355 rear light units they cost about 100 each, but now comes the big decisionare you prepared to cut the exsisting metalwork at the rear of the car? (see photo) My car has only covered 20,000 miles and is perfect, so when I've modified the rear I will want to be able to put it back to 348 spec. if need be. If you are still interested 4 lights will cost at least 400 the panel will cost 300 fibreglass 375 carbonfibre if you go for fibreglass you have added cost of painting the panel. Icontacted a company in america last year at [email protected] they ara about to bring out a conversion kit comprising of rear panel in carbon 4 tail lights connectors for lights for $2950. Regards Alan |

Just be careful with the airflow, especially for the stock double muffler setup... you'll have a lot of melting plastic in warm weather and stop-and-go traffic! |

Actually, those look quite good. I saw some before that really messed the back end up (IMHO) I'd still rather keep it standard(to look at) though |
