My 90 TR also has the problem with the leather on the dash (instrument pod) pulling up. Anybody know how to remove the piece?

My 512TR spent the first 6 years of life owned by a Sheik in Miami. The leather covering of the dash at the winshield has shrunk back (looks like it could be re-glued if I could get to it. I'll most likely have to remove the dash). Also the edge of the plastic just above the radio and glovebox is wavey and distorted - no doubt from the sun's heat. If I take out the dash, is there a way to straighten the plastic? Will I have to remove and replace the leather covering? My instrument pod cover is also dry and cracked (even leatherique has no effect) - is there a reasonabe way to recover? A used pod cover goes for $800+. BTW I now have a UV window film on the windshield - cuts out 100% UV, 50% heat and 10% light - and my AC cools the car with ease.

I was just talking about this with Martin, seems the plastics Ferrari used from the 348 until the last 355s was low quality & tends to melt after a while in the sun. mine is ok so far

Lou, I think you may be able to stretch the material without replacing it. You live in Florida, correct?

Mine has this and I notice it is not uncommom. Its the side to side piece next to the windshield. Assume its caused from heat exposure? Any easy fix-I hope-but suspect not?
