Frank -- Similar confusion persists on the later brethren (TRs) too, but the tire pressure specs seem to just scale with vehicle speed (to minimize heating from tire sidewall flexing?), and the Ferrari technical people IMO were forced to pick a fairly high "normal" TR value to push up the "normal allowable top speed" to 160 mph -- Manual says: Speed below 160 mph use 37 psi (cold) Speed above 160 mph use 40 psi (cold) (for the Goodyears -- the Michelins are different yet) Sticker on car says: 38 psi (cold) up to 160 mph Above 160 mph -- see manual For street-rodding around town I've been using 35 psi (cold) and am happy with the feel and treadwear results so could be that both those 512BBi specs are right -- just depends on your intend usage. Is there a "max psi/max load" rating on your 512BBi tires in the fine print? -- my TR Goodyears show 44 psi max so 40 (cold) psi seems to correlate allowing some rise. |

If they are the stock tires, then the Label. If they are aftermarket, then I would start with the label and adjust accordingly |

My manual says 43psi for all four tires. But, a label in the glove box says 32psi front and 34psi rear. Which should I use ? |
