OK, I have been able to remove the wire from the extender and the cap also. It is held in with an unusual little brass clip that snap in and out of place. Now where to find some of these little clips? |

BTW, If you have some extra working OEM wires you are going to throw out I'd take them from you. Even one or two of the longest ones will do. I stupidly threw my old set away. You see an old working wire or two is great to have around to help trouble shoot for a bad wire like during a miss diagnosis. |

Twist 90 degre to break seal. Grab boot as close to valve cover as possible pull straight up. They stick in pretty good. There is no extender. It is built into the wires. |

I've got a great set of new Solid core wires at home I've never used. I'd like to install them on my (new to me) 348. I've got to re-gap the plugs anyway, so now's a good time. Now for the question: How does the spark plug wire remove from the valve cover plug, ie, the extender? It appears to be one piece, but on closer inspection I can see that it is infact seated into the one piece extender/plug. Has anyone replaced their factory wires with some higher performance ones? Thanks for the help. |
