There is a product called "Damp Rid" that you can use. It comes in a container like a milk carton and you keep it in the car in a plastic container that they sell. It accumulates any moisture while you are not using the car. Just empty the container and see how much it collects. You can buy it at Home Depot, KMart Walmart, etc.

Does desicant have any harmful chemical properties? If I put a pack or two inside each door, let's say, will some chemical reaction start taking place that ends up doing more harm than good?

That something is desicant, the "do not eat" stuff that comes in every electronic gizmo's packaging.

You can purchase desicant industially, too, but only in quantity.

It's not an electrical item. It's a bag full of something.

Get one of those Bubbles, drive your car in, zip up the bag, and pump tepid, 80% dehumidified air in. Not 100% as it might over dry the leather.

I would not put one on the inside. Becasue it raises the temp in the car to some pretty hot levels.

I got one from Sears $180.00, and it sits right next to it in the garage. Of course the garage is wrapped in plastic and sheet rocked to keep out the water.

Griot's Garage has product for that. You can throw one or two behind the seat. I use them and they seem to work ok.

When the car is running it's known as AC. When it's in your garage keep air temp up and a dehumidifer
running. Leave the windows cracked so air can circulate.

Is there such a thing as a dehumidifier for a car.
I would like to find one to keep the inside of my 308 dry and moisture free.
