Remove one of the battery terminals and put a DC ammeter (or a multi-meter in DC ammeter mode) in series between the terminal post on the battery and the terminal end on the cable (key off -- actually key not even in).

I removed what I assume is the seatbelt ECU (see below) from the forward center tunnel. Does this box serve any other purpose than moving the seatbelt mouse? Can I disconnect both of them in their entirety?

How do I check the "key off current draw"?

Scott -- The only electrical connection to the TR seatbelt ECUs is at the ECUs themselves (the +12V power isn't even fused). The TR seatbelt ECUs are inside the lower foward center tunnel covers -- do you have an SPC? What's the key off current draw?

Ever since my TR was delivered 2 weeks ago, the battery (new) will not hold a charge. After 2-3 days the battery is drained.

My mechanic says it may be the automatic seatbelts (which are inoperable) that are draining the battery - they make a high pitched whistle each time the door is opened. I'm trying the "disconnect" knob; however, I see that as a "band aid" cure.

Other possibilities: after market amp or radar detector.

Any other ideas? How can I disconnect the electrical connections to those belts?
