Mine had something way different. I can't remember but it was something like 8390 or some 4 digit number like that.

I was wrong, there are 2 classes of pistons for the 308. A class size is 80.970/80.980mm, B class is 80.960/80.970mm. Weight may vary by 2 grammes

I believe the A is the weight class as you had thought, don't have the WS manual at work but will check when I get home.

Hey Mitchell, I spoke to Rocco today and his response was Ferrari part number and piston diameter. Being 81mm as you said.

Does anyone know what the stamping on the Ferrari pistons stand for?

The stamped letters are: 81 6/476\A

81 is for 81mm but what about the rest? Weight class?
