Even though I don't have a TR, I have spent hours researching Tirerack.com's reviews and just today ordered the Dunlop 8000's as well. You can go with an ultra high performance tire like the S03 Pole Positions or the Pilot Sports, but unless you are driving very aggressively, you will not appreciate them. In fact, you will sacrifice ride quality. I personally never track my car and only occasionally hit it on an off ramp or whatever so I chose a step below the ultra H.P. and gained some ride quality. The Dunlops got very good reviews from the most important people...those who have owned them for some time. Jerry |

Henry, I have had BF Goodrich Comp TA's for 20K and they perform great and have a lot of tread left. They are also inexpensive compared to other makes. http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp Joe

I currently use the Dunlop P8000 which are reasonable in price, good looking and perform well. I still have to see how they are on the track. I had the Mich Pilot Sports which were great but wear very quickly and are quite expensive. I did my research on TireRack and then got them from EuroTire in NJ |

I need 2 rear tires (P255/50ZR16) for the TR. Bridgestone has the Potenza brand (no F1 in this size). I use the car as a cruiser, in rain and shine (mostly shine), and don't do any racing, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks |
