Steve: On my '90 348, there are two door jamb switches on the lower hinge. One of mine got pushed into the recess and I can't get it out, so I had to turn the interior light off. Haven't got around to fixing it yet. Yours might be doing the same?

Seriously, check the rolling circumference on your rear tires, either with a cloth tape in the center of the tread or by marking a spot on the sidewall at the bottom and measuring the exact distance for one rotation of the tire (or multiple rotations divided by the number of rotations). If there is a difference between the LR and RR tires, you have unwanted "stagger" which could cause the exact symptom you described with no problem on the car itself. If the problem was first noticed after the tire was replaced, it's worth checking. Don't just trust the size markings, measure them and see what you get.

Steve: Have you been able to track down the cause of your "pulling" problem on the other thread?

You guy's are right about removing the outside panel, it is the easiest way to access the inside of the door. That works great for something like changing out the speakers but if you need to do something like repair one of the inside panels, you have to remove it.

Steve,

This is how you gain access to the inside of the door by removing the outside air intake!
IMO it is easier because you cant damage the plastic anchors of the inside panels. Advantage by putting out the air intakes is you got the same access to the inside of the door without most probably breaking these fragile plastic pieces (Basically bad quality!). You just need to loosen some screws!

Steve,

Actually this is quite easy! You just need some tools like suitable screwdrivers.
Sadly I cant look at my car at the moment since it is in the shop right now so I have to recall this from my experiences without looking up.
First you should loosen the four screws which are positioned inside of the side streaks of the door (They are black!). You can actually see them when looking at the sidestreaks or cleaning them!
Next you should loosen the screws which are at the door locks near the little red lights inside the door (2 screws as far as I remember). This can be done with the board equipment screwdriver while you need a special screwdrivers for the sidestreaks (Every mechanic got these. No big deal!)
At last you need to loosen another two screws which are not so easy to access. Nevertheless this can be done without any further work. You just need the special screwdrivers again and some nerves! The screws are positioned inside the door again where they are attached to the chassis (Hope you know what I mean!) thus can only be accessed when door is open widely.
After loosened all these 8 screws the whole side streak slips out and you can access the whole inside of the door (Electrical window mechanics, loudspeakers etc.etc.)
A good mechanic can open the side streak in 2-5 minutes. It would take me 10-15 minutes and several courses :-)
If you are careful with the tools absolutely nothing can be damaged.
Did this myself since the side streak at the drivers side had a small crack which needed to be repaired!

Con saluti cordialissimi,

Most of the interior panels are held on by a combination of sheet metal screws and plastic anchors. The door handle is held in place by 2 Hexhead bolts (underneath) and an allen screw (top). The plastic anchors are easy to get @ the dealer for a couple bucks. When you see them you will see how they work, they just push into a hole drilled in the sheet metal. All you do to remove them is just pull on the panel after you remove all the other sheet metal screws and such. If thier old they might break so just replace with a new one. The whole process is quite simple.
