Tom, Have seen the Veyron at the VW showroom in Berlin. He is standing around there with some Bentleys. Sad things about the car is not only the disputable design but also the fact that the 16cylinder engine which produces the 1001 hp is not a whole new engine but merely 4 VW 4cylinders pasted together. What a shame: You drive a 500000-700000 Euro car which as the power plant has some VW engines. IMO the name Bugatti hasnt earned that! Just my 2 cents... Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |

Depends on the RPM's it makes the power at. Example - twin turbo Corvette. 700TQ but at 8,000RPM, producing >1000HP. It's a hell of fun ride. On the other hand, I know a guy with a Vette that makes around 1100HP... but it does it by making monster torque. Probably 500lb-ft more than the Vette. It's virtually undriveable. |

Anybody see this car? What an amazing machine. But 1000hp? Don't you guys think this is way to much power? |
