Work done at Westhampton Coachworks, normally pretty good with Ferraris. It is a '74 GTS, and I don't think I have any enemies. Didn't check bleed valves since I didn't ask them to do any brake work.

Dropped it off at Motorclassic (the dealer) in White Plains this AM and left it for them to look at. Pretty scary coming back from Lime Rock yesterday down Rte. 22 at 70 with no brakes. I'll let you know what they find. Very strange.

Sam-who else do you use out East for Ferrari work?

Jeff-I use Superformance out of the UK (biggest selection of Dino parts)http://www.superformance.co.uk/, or Geoff Ohland at Partsource in Camden, Maine. both reliable and knowledgeable.

The odds of such an occurance just happening by itself are slim.

I agree with Magoo, who does your repair work? He has some explaining to do. I can reccomend some good guys here in NYC / Hamptons area. I wouldn't drive it ''till all sorted out.

It is strange that it is leaking at both front wheels. When or if the car was put on a lift something may have damaged the lines or hoses. You don't have any enemies do you?

Did you check the bleed vavles on the front calipars? Maybe he bled the brakes and forgot to tighten them all the way, What year 246? GT or GTS, I recently bought a 73 GT and looking for some parts.

Came out to the garage last night to find a big puddle of "oil" on the floor under my 246. Oil had just been changed that day, so I suspected bad filter/mechanic didn't tighten drain plug/dipstick not reinserted. Tests showed none of these to be true.

Drove it today, brake pedal goes to the floor, but car eventually stops. Checked both brake fluid reservoirs- one full, one empty. Put new fluid into empty reservoir-leaked right out again at both front wheels as I was watching.

Could the person doing the oil change inadvertently done anything to cause a brake fluid drain? Is it unusual to have all the fluid immediately leak right back out? If it is a brake line failure would the fluid immediately leak right back out, or would there have to be some pedal pressure to force it out?
