The terminals are crimped onto the wires. Then the terminal is inserted into the white plastic connector. Once the terminal has been "overheated", it will expand when warm and give intermittent contact. In addition, the white plastic connector can melt or disfigure to the point it isn't holding the terminal firmly into place which compounds the first problem. |

Thanks for the reply Brian, yes that is what I am refering to, the new terminals also include the metal connectors? You cut the old wires and recrimp the new terminals on? |

Are you referring to the white plastic (flat) multi connector that plugs into the fuseboard assembly? There are several configurations. The (wire) terminal and the connectors are available from Ferrari at minimal cost. Contact me directly for more info. |

Anyone have a fix for the plastic connectors that plug into the fuse box? The individual wire clip in the connector for my fog/instrument lights on my 328 was not clamping enough and the lights would not work, it also caused arcing and burn spots on the connector and in the board area I bent the wire connector back down to create a connection but I can see how it may fail again and possibly arc/short the board Thanks in advance |
