Thanks for all your replies. The folks at Lake Forrest in Chicago managed to obtain the key code for me and are in the process of having a new key made for a very reasonable rate. I am going to try the new key to see if this works.

Great Site!
Thank you,
Kirk

I have also found that having a fresh key cut using the "code" not a copy, can make a sticky lock suddenly work perfectly.
This can be less of a factor with Ferraris since the keys are typically steel and don't wear as much as the common brass ones...

A good locksmith (or maybe a spray of graphite) can repair a sticky lock easily and far far cheaper than a new one.

You'll want to try the graphite I'm sure when you realize what it takes to remove the entire lock mechanism.

Kirk -- Are you saying that all the US-based discount/used F parts guys (e.g., T. Rutlands/MAP, GT Car Parts, FPsEx, etc.) and even JeffUK have all come up empty too?

Also check ebay. I seem to recall a whole set going for $300

I am having trouble with an ignition switch freezing up. I have priced them through the dealer and online and so far have come up with a price of $1250-$1450 yet the Mondial and other models have Ignition Switches for around $2-300. Does anyone have advice on where to find an ingnition switch at a reasonable cost or, is there an alternative switch that will work without modification?
