Greg (and all),

Made a PDF of the "tri-fold" literature (342/85). Basically, it is actually a single page (longer than A4 it seems) and folded twice to make three "pages" per side. It is printed front/back. This came with my USA 1985 308GTS QV owner's manual. Have no need for the manual as i NEED the Euro version and STILL trying to find one to buy. If anyone has connections to one PLEASE let me know.

On a similar note, busy making the outside appearance authentic. Received parts from Ferrari UK and also a VERY RARE mint condition original Euro sales brochure of the 308GTS. It has MANY photos and am perplexed on a few things, but this will be covered in another post later today or tomorrow.

Back to the topic at hand, the PDF can be downloaded at http://www.enjoythemusic.com/308/308.pdf . ALWAYS glad to be of service.

Steven,

Here are the two charts you mentioned. In addition, my brown leather "gucci" folder contained:
Book: "Sale and Service Organization"
Book: " Warranty Card and Owner's Service Book"
Foldout paper: "Installation Instructions" for the Hirschmann aerial

Not really sure if the last item is original, but I believe so. The previous two owners kept unbelievable records on maintaining and replacing anything. Hope this helps.

Greg,

Alas, i do not think i have the sticker. The original glass has been replaced (glass sourced from Ferrari dealer). Will check when i get home to be sure. The car is in full security lock down right now and therfore no one can access it accordingly to check for me.

Enjoy The Drive,

Steven,

While I'm looking for the charts that you are missing, does your car have a clear decal in the lower corner of the front windshield, drivers side? If you do, I've been trying to get a really good digital picture of one so I can recreate it and get one made.

I'll look through my stuff tonight...

Steven...in case you hadn't seen the old thread about Dr. Cosgrove's interior re-do, here it is:

http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/65892.html?1024546556

Along the lines of completely replacing all of the interior leather, vinyl, carpet, etc. -- he did it, and it appears to have turned out good as new from the pics. Of course, it probably cost a few $$$ as well.

Would love to do this someday, but for now I'll have to settle for the dye job that I did using Leatherique. It looks 100% better than before, even though it's not brand new. Here's a pic...

Verell,

Understood my friend. In the end it comes to being my car and my choice. Pure originality be darned, desire new leather and this is my choice. The leather will be of the proper type, weight/thickness, etc. Please rest assured it will be a professional job.

(Said in good humor) Of course i could go with crushed purple velvet for the seats. Maybe some fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror, a hula girl with swinging hips in the back window...

My sense of humor got the best of me for a moment. On a **much needed** holiday right now with some good friends and we have been having quite a bit of fun. Also received a call there has been no less than five packages received at my home in the past few days. They all seem to say Maranello and other "titles"...

RE: "still find the cracks, small holes, etc "
Hmm, w/o seeing it I can't tell whether they're characteristic of the piece of leather, or weren't handled properly during the redye.

If they're objectionable, then possibly he only redied & didn't use crack filler to restore the surface before redyeing.

If it's the latter case, I'll stay with my orig. statements.

Verell,

>>>Why are you going for new leather? <<<

While Jeff re-died the leather including full Leatherique (best stuff IMHO), still find the cracks, small holes, etc not to my liking. Yes, the exitsing interior could be considered in good condition given her age and 50k milage, yet i'd prefer to tidy her up a bit.

>>>IMHO: If you're not replacing it with new Conolly leather, your current leather is probably better than what you'll be replacing it with.<<<

Agreed, and this is why i am having Conolly leather of my chosing and to my color to replace what is in there now. Will match original closely as the company i have chosen specialized in F cars, RR, Bents, etc. While not cheap, the good stuff rarely is.

Of course i'd rather avoid redoing her, yet there are some things in life that simply there are no workarounds per se. Jeff seems to have done a GREAT job when he did the interior, yet it is simply my demand for complete overhaul. Maybe it is a personality fault of mine? There is something about clean, fresh new leather...

Stephen,
Why are you going for new leather?

IMHO: If you're not replacing it with new Conolly leather, your current leather is probably better than what you'll be replacing it with. Unless your current leather is badly ripped or torn, most likely all it needs is rejuvinating, leaning, & redyeing. Possibly the old dye may have to be stripped off.

I redid my seats last summer & touched up the other leather. Looks & feels like new now. Several others have done the same.

Check out my thread:

Steve,
Yes, there are a single sheet Lube chart and Lube comparison chart in my manual. 77 US version. Couldn't say which is correct for your car, but this is what I have.

Hi,

Trying to get all the original documents i can for my Euro '85 308GTS QV. While i have the US owners book (desire the Euro), the brown leather holder with Ferrari in a "Gucci-styled" fabric covering. DO have a question....

There seems to be a single page (not fold out) Lubricant Chart and also a single page (not fold out) Lubricant Comparison Chart.

Then i have a tri-folded Maintenance And Lubricant Chart.

What is correct? What do i need to complete paperwork.

Many thanks. ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated.

Enjoy The Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin
