I have to agree w/ Verell. With metal shield, screw them on but only with the indent. Otherwise, magnetic. |

I bought magnetic shields off eBay. Works great. I've left the car at lots of places and no one's stolen the shields yet. Of course, if I was really worried, I'd just take 'em off. They look good on the refrigerator or tool box, too!

Resin shields backed w/magnet paper from the local craft shop. They're easy to remove. I don't like to leave them on all the time because I don't want a shield shadow of unfaded paint. To be properly installed, the metal shields should be mounted in a recess in the fenders. Otherwise they protrude quite a bit. BTW, search the archives, there's been a lot of discussion on the subject of shields. |

I opted for the shield stickers from the Ferrari dealer. Still on the fence about the metal shields; however, if I did decide to go with them, I'd choose the 3M option. This option, and the stickers, allow for very easy removal should one change his or her mind. If I were to go through the trouble of drilling holes and mounting studs through the fenders, then might as well have them recessed also -- but then there's no turning back . Lately, been thinking about removing the shields altogether to go with a more factory look -- decisions, decisions. |

Fender shields tend to be a hot topic around here. I just wanted to get everyones thoughts on the aftermarket shields. What would you prefer; 3M super-sticky enamel, screw-on enamel, stickers... Personally, I think that the screw-on is probably the way to go but I guess that would keep most owners out of the Ms. Ferrari contest, plus drilling holes in a Ferrari just doesn't sound like a good idea. The 3M is nice also but you may have to replace them due to theft. Stickers are good too but I think come with a little less cool factor. If you have them already, how did you decide? Just wondering.
