If you look on Tom Yang's website he made a good puller for the heads on an older 12 cylinder. Certainly a different engine- but same concept could be used on a TR. http://www.tomyang.net/cars/ferrari.html Look on "ferrari restoration tips" and scroll down to the bottom for "V-12 Head Puller"

Umm.. Not to sound like an idoit but you have removed the engine from the car and removed the timing belts etc, correct? Removing these heads can be a big pain. They have to come off dead straight or they will bind up against the studs in the block. Please do not use a metal scraper between the block and the head you will damage the aluminun. Maney times the studs will corrode to the head and that causes the head to be stuck. Try useing some heavy duty penatrateing oil to loosen up the corrosion around the studs. |

HELP!!! WE REMOVE ALL HEAD NUTS AND WASHERS TO REMOVE CLYLINDER HEAD. WE TRY SMALL SCRAPER BETWEEN HEAD AND BLOCK,NO LUCK. NOW WE HAVE BIG HAMMER AND 2X4,HELP!! |
