My decent pressure bleeder is my right foot or lovely assistant. I can bleed the brakes on a 348 alone in about 20 minutes, with help, 12 minutes. |

Thank you all for the advice. Finished the fluid change and bled per your instructions. 1st time changing fluid on a Ferrari with ABS. I understand your concerns with the "vac" system but have used it with success on my prior 930's, TR and 308. Maybe time for a decent pressure bleeder. |

John, search the archives for additional good information on this subject for the 348. Of course, what JRV and the Doctor state are also correct. Ps. I don't believe in the whole "vac" the hydraulic system deal. The system is designed to push, not pull. |

John, JRV is right about the front bleeding. And also, you will not get a good bleeding using the mity vac. you must for the rear brakes turn key to on position, have someone hold down lightly on the pedal, and just open the rear bleeders. the ABS pump will pump the fluid through the system for you as long as you hold the pedal down (just wait till there are no bubbles). for the front, you must pressure bleed the old way by having one hold the brake pedal down, open and close bleeder and then let up pedal(do this until no air is in fluid). Make sure to check constantly the level in the brake fluid tank. Best regards and good luck. Jim |

For the fronts you need to push the peddle all the way to allow fluid thru the second chamber (front most) in the MC. and with the pump pushing the fluid out you shouldn't need a mity vac...just a catch resovoir.n |

Problem bleeding my 348 spider brakes. Using a MityVac. Key set to activate the ABS pump. Pedal depressed app. 1" Rears bled fine. 2 hours on the right front with little fluid removed. Could hear the ABS pump activate when removing fluid from the rears. Pump does not turn on when bleeding the fronts. Assistance appreciated. 1st time bleeding a ABS car. |
