Ernie, yes both sides. You can't believe how well this works. Brian, replacements might be available but this is a permanent solution. It is a bad design in my opinion. It would be just a matter of time and I would have the same problem again.

Replacement connector pins are readily available and easily installed.

Charles brilliant work man! There are so many people that have this problem. What is even better is that you have saved your self a few hundred dollors, at the least. Can you imagine what the dealer would have robbed you for. There would have been a diagnostic charged, new connectors, and then the labor to put the new ones in. Then in a few years they would have busted again anyway. Good work Charles! I am assuming that you did the direct connection on both sides.

If anyone is interested, I finally solved the slow window problem on my 348ts. It seems the connector that goes from the door to the chasis was the problem. the connector is a male female type with a lot of little pins that can corrode over time. Once they are corroded they no longer make good contact and the windows either slow down or stop working all together. Also the wires themselves can become detached from the connector due to corrosion. Some of the wires on my car were so bad they were almost broken off from the connector itself. The solution was simple, eliminate the connector. First I removed the front tire and the access panel up in the wheel well, this exposes the back side of the connector. Then I cut the wires completley off of both sides of the connector. Next I removed the connector from the car and drilled our each of the little holes that the old pin leads went through. Next I put the connector back in and threaded the wires through the holes. At that point all you need to do is solder the wires back together and seal with heat srink tube. Once all the wires are joined wrap the whole thing with electrical tape, replace the access panel and tire. The whole thing looks the same as it did before except now there is a solid connection. Man what a difference! My windows fly up and down now just like new. If anyone has any questions about what I did just let me know. The whole process only took a couple of hours and appears to be a permanent solution. Here is a picture of the connector. Upload
