Michael - be careful. There are a few important issues. Use a block of wood (2x4") when using a floor jack, and place the floor jack protected by the wood under the existing jack points. Do not use wood or jack anywhere else along the "rib" running the length of the floor pan, as this will bend (don't ask how I know). Second - If jacking more than a few inches off the floor, be careful that you do not crack the windshield! Best to go up in increments if you want to raise the rear end or front end, or one side front and back. Just be aware the the body flex is substantial, and that the windshield is expensive. Not to deter you, but go slowly. Jim S. |

Gents, Despite looking through my owners technical manual, I can't find any documentation on where to jack up my 512. Where does one put the jack in order to lift the car. Any hints on what type of jack to use also. I need to find out if my existing floor jack can go low enough under the jack points. |
