I had the same problem. I disconnected it without any problem. Mine was for emissions as well. If yours is the same one I am referring to it is fine. Mine would click around the 2000rpm-2700 rpm area. |

Check your battery. You may have a bad cell. This happened in my Benz recently. |

Others have done it in the past but I am not sure of the outcome. Some have put Subwoffers for the car in there as well I would not. |

Hi, I have lately experienced this sound when accelerating or revving the engine. All fuse box related functions seem to work fine, but it is annoying. It is not one of the relays in the fuse box area but is clearly coming from behind the passenger footwell. Pulling out the parts manual and doing my best pidgin Italian translation it appears that there are 4 relay looking boxes mounted on the backside of the footwell floorboard. 2 for catalytic converters I think and the others I am not sure for what. I have disconnected and removed all of the emission controls (including cats- test pipes) What should I do and how can I stop the infernal clicking- Is it as simple as disconnecting the relays? Don |
