Verell and Rob, Verell, thanks for the info as the ones on my car are not stock and VERY different. They work for now so i'll leave well enough alone... perhaps ;-) Gosh, could get it here before Saturdays meet. Hmmm... :-) Rob, Ferrari UK has OEM original covers. i bought one from them directly for my 1985 308GTS QV Euro (part number 60114808). Price is 147 British Pounds Sterling. At today's bank rate 147 British Pound = 231.349 US Dollar (plus shipping costs). Installing it was very easy. Basically, remove the weather stripping, clean all edges/sides of car that are now exposed. Then have a few friends pull tight on the new cover from all edges/sides as you reinstall weather stripping. Use a sharp knife to cut off excess. REMEMBER: this is a plastic part so it will naturally stretch in hot weather and shrink a bit in colder weather. It will also stretch over time. Hope this helps. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

My covers are $125 shipped. They are patterned from an original. They mount under the rubber seal in the same manner as original. |

re: JCWhitney- Just checked my car. My weatherstrip has the little lip like JCWhitney's #6 in the photo in my earlier post. Interestingly enough, it looks like the lip isn't touching anything for most of the perimeter. |

What are the details on those zipper covers? Are they original, how much cost, how do they install? My 308 has the rubber seal, but no cover.

Bruno, GT Car Parts does not have a catalog. Their main business is as a supplier to jobbers or shops. They do not encourage the retail trade because of the necessary hand holding and service that is often required. They do however consistently offer the best prices and have an excellent inventory if you know what you need. |

Here's the JCWhitney weatherstrip for the luggage compartment: http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=65531&BQ=jcw2
It's either #5 or #6 (I don't remember whether it's got the small lip. These guys also have the exact luggage compartment gasket: http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/308Rubber.htm +++ jpeg +++ 211473 +++ Upload +++ It's #8: 12' for $69.96 They seem to have everything BUT the door weatherstrip which I also need(sigh). JC Whitney hass a sponge weather strip with a shape that doesn't look too far off for the door, if it's dimensions are similar: http://www.jcwhitney.com/item.jhtml?ITEMID=19974&BQ=jcw2 |

Anyone know where 2 get a new gasket that goes on top of the vinyl zipper luggage compartment cover in rear of 308? Just need gasket due to mice. Cover is ok. Some one must have one very similar for a cheap price? |
