I agree with "replace it now". Somewhere in the recent archives is a picture of my broken cam belt for my Escort. There was no belt problem and it wasn't due to be replaced for another 10K miles but my leaky water pump was dripping on the belt and it broke in three days -- I assume because the hot water/antifreeze deteriorated the material. I was hoping to change the pump in about 3 days on a weekend but....

Seems a cam seal is leaking on my GTSi causing oil on the timing gears and belts. Less than 5,000 miles on new kit (gears, tensioner and belts, replacing OEM plasic gears with aluminum). Goes without saying they need to be redone; question is, how serious is this....what potential issues may arise, personal expierences etc. (i.e. is it safe to drive for a while...)?

Thanks
