Thanks for the replies, everyone. I check FerrariChat quite often, and didn't recall ever seeing this topic come up - boy, was I wrong! |

Eric, I actually bought what you did a year ago and LOST it. I went to Home Depot last week and got the a/c stuff. So I'm out the big bucks and the $2. Now that I fixed it, I bet I'll find the damn thing within the next 24 hours. |

I just did this yesterday. Go to Home Depot and buy the grey insulation that you put around a window unit a/c. It is the exact same material and costs around $2.

I bought mine from www.italiancarparts.com about a year ago. Installed with the 3M adhesive. Actually, the "new" foam strips appeared to be the run-of-the-mill standard foam like you'd find in Home Depot, etc. I seem to recall a recent discussion about this, and some other owners recommended buying a certain type of foam locally and cutting to fit. Here are a few of the discussions about this: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/206194.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/1438.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/78061.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/67371.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/151947.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/90477.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/111318.html |

On the inside of my '77 308GTB front lid, there are 2 horizontally placed foam-type strips which reside above the radiator when the lid is closed. Both of my strips are peeling off, and look bad when the lid is open. Do you know where this material can be sourced? Any information would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance.... |
