When I rebuilt my rear caliper, I documented the procedure: http://www.ferrariforum.net/tech/view.php?id=13 I haven't done the fronts yet. |

The issue seems to be there is a very narrow range of adjustment for the handbrake to work satisfactorily. Have you set the static adjustment between the pads and the rotors (4 thou) and used the turnbuckle to set the tension in the handbrake cables? Philip |

After I rebuilt mine I also installed a new ebrake cable. For whatever reason I got it to work but the thing has to be set all the way up to grab. I am sure if I monkey with it some more I can get it adjusted to set more in the midrange of the movement of the ebrake lever but there does seem to be a trick to it I am missing. |

On my 78' 308 the calipers were rebuilt before I purcahsed it. My E-brake isn't working. I checked all of the cables and the arm on the caliper, the E-brake still doesn't work. It must be internally in the caliper. What could they have not put back together inside the caliper to make the e-brake not work on both left/right rear calipers? |

On the Rear Calipers you will have to remove the inside Piston and Push Pin behind it ( you will see it when you get it apart) before you can fully remove the lever for the emergency Brake. Other than that it is straight forward and you should have no problem performing the job. If you do, let us know what planes you Mechanic on..... so we can avoid them. |

I'm about to rebuild all the the calipers for my car. does any one have any tips. Is there anything important I should look out for so I don't screw it up, or is it a straight foward job? |
