>>...i tend to think that my second FD is sticky....<<

could be..the plungers will stick if they sit around too long...idle won't help...the plunger needs to move up and down (driving) to clean and free itself. Even rebuilt FD plungers (pistons) can restick just sitting and with the gas getting old inside.

Pull the air cleaner boxes off, start the engine and gently push the plates (not enough to stall engine) see if they are free...and you can watch the plates move by revving the engine a little.

Interesting....when I had in for service some time ago, they replaced my plugs even though i had newplugs there myself...i tend to think that my second FD is sticky....i only had one rebuilt..maybe i should do the second one...was hoping that by running the car, the problem would be fixed...

If you just let it idle that long you could have some fouled/dead plugs. It's not really a good idea to let the motors idle for long periods (especially without making sure the cold start system is working properly).

Try new plugs ...could be a sticky FD piston though.

My garage queen is giving me more trouble. I started it this morning and warmed it up for 20-30 minutes. When I tried to drive it, it started backfiring. Real loud backfire. I have had a fuel distributor rebuilt recently, as well as replacing one fuel pump and rebuilding the second one. When the car is running, it feels like on bank is fighting the other, and the car lunges at low rpms. Help!!!!
