Hi Matt...yes I've considered a harness, but really want belts like "modern" cars. And JRV about that recall....yes they do have one. But my car is in pieces currently, and the nearest Ferrari dealer is over 100 miles away. I don't see me getting the car there anytime soon. I think I can convert it over for $300 - $400 bucks. So far I have not heard of anyone actually getting their system fixed free of charge. As I recall some were getting a run-around when asking dealers about this subject. Does anyone have anymore info. on this? |

Have you thought about going to a 5 or 6 point harness rather then a "generic" belt system? |

Can anyone post or email me pics of their TR with the manual seat belts? A Euro version car will have the manual belts, not sure what year the U.S. cars stopped using the crappy motorized belts. I have tried to purchase from England the Euro style belt system, but for legal reasons they would not sell them to me. So I'm going to modify a "generic" belt system to fit my car. I will leave the "mouse track" but will remove all other hardware I can. I will make a bracket for the swivel-mount that bolts to the b-pillar, or try and make a new direct mount somehow. Not sure how much upholstery work will be needed, but not much from what I see. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Everyone! |
