The upper plenum gaskets are usually reuseable. Use caution as there are metal spacers that are pressed into the upper plenum gaskets and these can fall into some bad places when removing the plenum. Make sure they are all accounted for. |

I've been changing my coolant hoses working my way from the front to the back. I see their is a coolant pipe coming out from between the oil filter and the front distributor. I also notice that one coming out the top of the water pump and the hose goes down the center of the intake manifold. Is there an easy way to get to these hoses and change them. Or, do you have to take the top of the manifold off. If I have to take it off, do I need to order some gaskets. Looks like I might get away with taking the top of the manifold off instead of at the head. Any suggestion would be appreciated. 1980 308 GTSi |
