tough if they do not tell you. Just make a habit to have the belts looked at every time you have the car in for an oil change. You have to remove the cover anyway under the engine might as well have the mechanic look that over. BTW my recommendation is also to havt he waterpump done after 10 years or 30K Miles when you hav the engine out service performed. Might get that pump redone.

It's best to contact the shop/mechanic & asks for the detailed work invoice. Most Ferrari shops keep logs of all their work. |

Having read the thread on what should be changed as matter of course during engine drop the subject of bottom belt pulley failure came up. My engine has had two cambelt changes since its factory original, both by Talacrest - UK, the last was 18 months/1500 miles ago. How can I tell if the engine has had the pulley upgraded as part of the work (I don't have work detail receipts, just the written notes in sales documentation and stamps/dates/mileage in the service book). |
