Justin -- do a search on "Synpower" (Valvoline's tradename for its synthetic DOT 3/4) -- you'll get several threads with the data. |

Rob, Thanks for the part information. The brake fliud I use on my car is Ap Racing Fluid dot 5.1. Is Valvoline Synthetic of the same spec. ? If not what specification is it ? and is it OK for ABS system and the 1994 F348 models ? |

Single for all Spiders. Cost varies according to country. No aftermarket clutch as far as I know. Norwoods may know better. You have the option to re-surface the clutch. You can chose different materials for different uses. Cheaper as well. When you bleed the clutch also bleed the brakes. It is the same reservoir. I recommend you go for a new DOT high boiling point brake fluid. Valvoline Synthetic is great. Put that in my car and it worked wonders. Very happy. Especially important if you go to the track every now and then. |

Single plate. The spec change was in 1990 - 91. Centerforce makes them for Norwood, (972) 831-8111, Texas. You should do the seals, there are seven, including the infamous triple seal on the concentric input/output shaft. The others are on the release bearing slave. Do the release bearing, too. Hydraulic system flush. And search the archives, this is covered in greater detail, you should come up with many hits for "348 clutch flywheel release bearing bleed". |

Guys, My clutch on my 1994 348 Spider needs replacing soon. The car has never had its clutch changed from new. Its cover 30,000 miles. Its not slipping yet and feels ok at the moment. Just preparing myself for the change out. Is the 1994 Spider a Single Plate or a double plate? Can you buy a non Ferrari clutch assembly kit?, where? and how much? Is their any other clutch components I need to purchase other than the clutch plate assembly kit? I have never bought clutches from the main dealers for my maserati or had clutch work done at a main dealer. Just rip-offs. Thanks for all your help. I live in the United Kingdom.
