I agree with your opinions about PB Blaster. I've used WD40 and Liquid Wrench for years until I read on this site about PB Blaster. I bought some at Pep Boys for about 4 bucks and have to say it works much better then greasy old WD40 and smelly Liquid Wrench. As I'm taking my '84 GTS QV completly apart I find myself with wrench in one hnad and PB Blaster in the other! It works great! Give it a try, you'll like it! |

As Chris said, WD-40 is for displacing water, which it does well. PB Blaster is great. As an alternative, try Kroil, which can be found at Eastwood. www.eastwoodco.com |

Well, it sounds like PB Blaster is a very good product - all the hearty endorsements here. Plan to try it. I don't care for WD-40 either. I think it is over rated. |

The problem with WD40, as a lubricant, is that it evaporates over time. |

PB is a very good penetrating oil product. It is a bit messy because of its orange color. "Water Displacement Batch # 40" (aka: WD40) is a better water displacement oil -- but IMO is pretty poor at every other application...it is cheap though. Kind Regards, Chris |

I use this stuff all the time. Nothing better for freeing up rusty and frozen nuts and bolts. |

ditto on preferring PB Blaster to WD40 (no experience with the Wurth product) -- not just as a penetrant, but especially as a long-term protectant on hub/rotor/wheel interfaces (which have the double penalty of usually being unprotected steel and a steel/Alum-or-Mag battery). |

Thumbs up for PB Blaster! I get it at NAPA. Makes WD40 look like water. |

On other car lists that I frequent, lots of people who work on their own cars swear by a product called PB Blaster. It is a liquid penetrant that loosens frozen fasteners. Has anyone had experience with is product? Is it that much better than other types such as that made by Wurth? |
