Steve you deserve them! Ive pointed you out to a couple people as to why I read this site and interact. Youve educated me in general electronic areas on cars and in Fcars in particular as I search for my first Fcar. Thanks for taking your time to share your knowledge...Dave

Yes, the oil pan. It is about 12" in front of the rear wheel almost dead center on the car. If you follow the wires from the sensor you will see it. The clamp actually did the damage.

it's the oil pan. You can see the shifter arm going into the engine block.

Barney, is that the trans pan or oil pan in the background? I'm using that as my point of reference to find the wires you're talking about.

Guys might want to check this out. I have been searching for a short. Even my mechanic missed it. Steve M helped me to get to the speedo sensor. Disconnecting the sensor, the fuse still blew. So I followed the wiring and found this. The clamp that holds the wires under the car. This is probably something to keep in mind when electric troubles pop up.
