Thanks guys, turned out to be a completely different problem all together (not the mats!). There are two bearings on the Throttle assembly inside the car. Both had ceased up, replaced them and it works a treat, no more cruise control!

Gordo, Remove the criuse control (floor mat) and see if that helps. |

I am sure I read a thread recently with a similar problem on a 308 but can't find it and I am not sure if the solution would be the same? Cable moves freely from the engine, shows no sign of sticking from there. From the pedal it seems take a few seconds to release off, coming back slowly. Real fun when you have floored it and released expecting to start slowing down... Ferrari cruise control...Scared the living **** out of me I must say! Suggestions welcomed Thx |
