Two very well respected mechanics at my dealer told me that this awful banging and flopping noise I have upon cold start up are the accessory belts on pulleys that are starting to loose annodization. This is supposed to be real common on a 456. My car is a 328 with 18K miles. The noise started this winter. 'Sounds like the engine is comming apart. Does anyone else experiance this? Dealer said I should do nothing. But geezzz!
